Clee - January 2007 Galleries

Clee - 2007:- Start/Finish : One of the problems of being the first event in the Calendar year is that start and Finish are mostly in the dark. Fortunately I had a new Flash gun for Christmas.

Clee - 2007:- Flounders Folly : I'm told Flounders Folly was in use for the first time. The first few cars, got up fairly easily, on the grassy slope, but as they cut through to the underlying mud the hill became more difficult. An excellent section with the benefit of lots of good parking at the start.

Clee - 2007:- Round Oak Part 1 : Round Oak is not too steep, but it is long, deeply rutted and VERY muddy. Mosts of the earlier classes struggled to get past the 6 or 7 mark, but cleans from Terry Ball and Adrian Dommett showed it was possible, and the two Austin Sevens of Richard Houlgate and Barry Clarke were exceptional. West Midlands Land Rover Owners Club did a great job of recovering failed cars.

Clee - 2007:- Round Oak Part 2 : Round Oak was easier for the higher classes who tackled it in the afternoon, but it still required lots of power to drive through the ruts and the mud. Unfortunately the light failed before the last of the Class 7's and 6's came through.
