Longside Wood

Longside Wood is a beautiful spot in Nidderdale, high above the valley.  The section runs up from some farm buildings through a wood, which in May is filled with Bluebells.  The section gets even steeper towards the top, but as so few competitors get up there I photograph from about the mid point.  The Rescue Helicopter was flying around all afternoon, practicing take-off and landing from a field in the valley.  It was unusual to look down on a helicopter when it is flying past.
